5 Things every company director needs to know that no one ever told them

There’s so much information and advice that it’s overwhelming.  There are so many courses; so many qualifications; so many methods, frameworks, programs; so many solutions.

Faced with this challenge, it’s not surprising that senior people thirst for simplicity.  It’s very appealing when someone presents a ‘solution’ to a specific issue, or crystallises a recommendation down to 3 or 4 bullet points.  But everyone can reflect back on how:

  • •  Things they’ve learnt on a course just can’t be applied in practice
  • •  Solving one problem created several new problems
