Business Excellence Frameworks are published by members of the Global Excellence Model Council [GEM Council – see below].
The intent of these Frameworks is to provide a practical mechanism for evaluating how well an enterprise operates in harmony with the Principles of Business Excellence, and to provide some practical guidance on how excellent organisations typically achieve this and create an environment for sustainable continuous improvement. Whilst these frameworks are invaluable sources of wisdom, they are primarily structured to facilitate assessment, so it is not recommended that they be used as a sort of blue-print for how to build an effective system of management. In fact, they are deliberately non-prescriptive and recognise the unique nature of each enterprise. Leadership in each enterprise should use the framework of their choice to understand what their system of management must address, but need to take careful account of the size and nature of their enterprise and its activities in developing their own management framework. Gare Corporate has helped many leaders with this challenging task.
